Writing Consultation Service by the EMI Resource Center

In order to enhance the English writing skills of students at National Chengchi University, the EMI Resource Center (‘the Center’) sincerely introduces a Writing Consultation Service. The relevant details are as follows:
Service Content and Features
● We provide comprehensive assistance in diverse types of English writing, including course essays, academic papers, journal articles, conference papers, resumes/cover letters, writing for standardized tests, and other forms of academic-related writing.
● The Center possesses abundant knowledge and experience to guide students through the writing process, assisting in improving various writing elements such as arguments, structure, coherence and cohesion.
● Students are strongly encouraged to schedule consultation appointments for individual guidance and suggestions to improve their English writing skills. Appointment Methods and Guidelines
● Consultation location: The EMI Resource Center (8th Floor of the Administration Building inside the AI Center, Room 160812)
● Eligibility: Exclusive to current National Chengchi University students
● Consultation time slots: Please stay tuned for our official notifications
● Consultation duration: Approximately 30 minutes per session
● Number of appointments: One consultation per week for each student
● Available reservations: Appointment calendar link
● Document upload for consultation: Consultation document upload link
● Number of participants: Students can schedule appointments on an individual or a group basis. Only one piece of English writing obtaining the consent from each author shall be reviewed in each consultation session.
● Scheduling time: Appointments should be made and relevant writing should be uploaded three days prior to the consultation session.
● Cancellation policy: Should cancellation be necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, please do so no less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment; any cancellation made or absence on the day of consultation shall be considered a violation. Notes and Disclaimer
● Content for consultation within 1,500 words shall be compiled into a single file for upload.
● Students are responsible for recording consultant’s suggestions on their own initiative; the consultant will not change, revise, or rewrite students’ documents.
● All uploaded content is solely for consultation purposes; confidentiality is strictly guaranteed by the Center.
