This presentation delves into the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on language learning, emphasizing the shift toward self-regulated and personalized experiences. AI empowers learners to take control of their education by setting their own pace, focusing on specific areas, and receiving tailored feedback aligned with their needs. I will introduce how AI-driven tools like adaptive learning platforms, virtual tutors, and Gen AI tools foster self-regulation, adapt to individual learning styles, and offer real-time insights, enabling learners to identify strengths and target improvement areas efficiently.

【Speaker】 Prof. Hui-Chin Yeh
Current Position: Distinguished Professor of National Yunlin University of Science and Technology
Dr. Hui-Chin Yeh is currently a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages at the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology. Her research and teaching areas include technology-assisted education, focusing on using artificial intelligence (AI) tools to enhance holistic language learning and improve teaching effectiveness for rural teachers. She has also dedicated herself to computer-assisted language learning, robot-assisted learning, and the application of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) in language teaching.
